Caladoc is a French crossing of Grenache and Malbec, bred to set fruit more reliably than Grenache. It is grown in southern France and, increasingly, in Spain and Portugal. Its wines are deeply colored and fruity, with medium body and moderate tannins, and it is often used in blends and rosés.
