Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Bordeaux, where it arose as a natural cross of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc, and is now grown in nearly every wine country. Its small, thick-skinned berries give full-bodied wines with firm tannins, good acidity and aromas of blackcurrant, cedar and graphite. It takes well to oak and can age for many years.
