Seyval Blanc is a French hybrid white grape, hardy in cold winters and resistant to disease. It is grown mainly in England, New York, Canada and other parts of eastern North America, including Virginia. Its wines are crisp and light, with citrus, green apple and sometimes a hint of melon, and it is also used for sparkling wine.
