Verdea is a traditional Zakynthian wine style, named from the Italian "verde" for the barely ripe grapes once used to lift acidity. Aged 4 months on lees and 6 months in French oak. Lemon blossom, citrus, bergamot, jasmine and white fruit, with vanilla, sweet spice and a peppery ginger touch. Lively acidity and a rare ability to age (5–7 years).
