Liatiko is one of the oldest red grapes of Crete and ripens early in the season. Its wines are pale in color but warm and aromatic, with notes of red fruit, dried herbs and spice and soft tannins. It is made both as a dry red and as a traditional sweet wine from sun-dried grapes.
