Manto Negro is the main red grape of Mallorca and the backbone of the Binissalem area. It gives wines of light to medium color with soft tannins, warm alcohol and flavors of red fruit and sweet spice. It is often blended with Callet, or with Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah for more structure.
