Ull de Llebre, meaning hare's eye, is the Catalan name for Tempranillo. It is grown across Catalonia, including Penedès, Costers del Segre and Empordà. Its wines have red cherry and plum fruit with moderate tannins, and gain notes of spice and leather with oak aging.
